Bill 22 Action Plan

Konnichiwa Mina san,

Gomen nasai. As you may already know, last week all the teachers in Surrey voted for an action plan against Bill 22. One of the components of the action plan includes the withdrawal of extracurricular activities. I'm very sorry, but this means that we will not be able to meet for Japanese Club for the rest of the school year. While I do support our union, at the same time this makes me sad, because I enjoy meeting with you all so much! I hope you can understand why this is happening and I'm sorry that it affects you guys so much.

In any case, I thank you for your time and interest in the Japanese Club, and that you will continue to study your hiragana and maybe even katakana! ;) Remember you can check out the great sites I've posted links to on my site to continue studying if you wish. I hope that you do.

Please stay in touch and don't be afraid to stop by and say hi. Remember that you can expect our Japanese exchange student guests to be arriving at our school the beginning of June. I believe it is June 1st or 3rd or something like that. I will contact you &/or be sure to pass your names onto Ms.Thompson so that you can be paired up with the Japanese students for the morning! Please keep this in mind and stay tuned for upcoming details.Don't forget to practice the basic conversational questions and answers I taught you, so that you can try out your Japanese with the students from Japan!

Gambatte kudasai & Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!!
